I made an appointment on 11/13/17 with the Appleton, WI location OWNER, Chris Lindburg, to drop my truck off on 11/22 where HE said it would be flushed and HE said he had somebody coming in on 11/24 that would inspect and re-spray areas. It was deer season and Thanksgiving weekend so I asked if that was doable and he said yes, he had somebody coming in on Friday 11/24 that would shoot my truck and I could pick it up on 11/27.

I felt at ease since I was able to get my truck done before the total crap of winter started even though we already had snowfalls and road salt. I live 85 miles away from this location just to point out. When we showed up that Monday my truck was just done that morning! I was LIED TO!!!

His employee who does the annuals said he had been off since the day I dropped off my truck!! When I went to put my wheel well liners back in there was dirt & sand on the wheel well lips that were supposedly "cleaned". When I went to show it to Chris his reply was "what do you want us to do...clean it with a toothbrush? That's not required." I expected the dirt to be cleaned away before a reshoot.

He sent Nate out to clean the dirt but what was the point, they already shot over the dirt. I went to put the liners back in and because the undercoat was fresh & had no time to set up it was all disturbed and now my wheel wells are unprotected. I contacted customer service in Troy, MI on 11/29 and had to leave a voicemail. My call was returned on 11/30 but was unable to answer.

Voicemail said they received my msg. and they were on the phone most of the day and that email would probably be better. I called on numerous days at many different times yet nobody picks up the phone. I sent an email after no follow up call from customer service on 12/5 and was told via email on 12/6 they would contact Appleton and have Chris contact me to resolve.

NOTHING! I emailed again to customer service on 12/11 saying I've heard nothing and was told they heard nothing either and would contact Chris again to get in touch with me. It is now 12/17 and I'm still at a loss! I've had no call from the Appleton, WI location about my complaint of dirt shot over and my tailgate not done!

Can't seem to call corporate in Troy, MI because nobody answers the phone customer service or receptionist wise. Try it...(248) 837-3955 or (248) 588-4100.

THEIR warranty lays out guidelines to follow on the CUSTOMERS responsibility but it ALSO LISTS the RESPONSIBILITY of the location you take your vehicle to but I guess it's OK if a location doesn't live up to that agreement and customer service is just lip service. I have pictures to prove my claim.

Reason of review: I need to select more than one here but unable to do so.

Monetary Loss: $200.

Preferred solution: Reimbursed for time off work, service paid for not performed, round trip gas to location x 2 vehicles, LIED TO.

I liked: Being lied to.

I didn't like: Lack of attention t detail.

This is the response Stephanie Mays at Ziebart so called customer service in Troy, MI replied to my 3rd contact trying to resolve:

In response to your email, you and I have had many correspondences regarding your concerns. As stated, each Ziebart is owned and operated by an independent businessperson.

Each dealer is responsible for all aspects of their business including the workmanship. I have contacted the owner on your behalf on 2 occasions. Mr. Lindberg stated he was going to have someone contact you directly.

I do know that Mr. Lindberg has very minimal rust claims and is one of the dealers that takes a lot of time on an annual inspections to make sure it is done as thoroughly as possible, to minimize his claims.

As previously indicated the dealer does not totally reprocess the entire vehicle every year. The reason the vehicle is not completely reprocessed is 1.

A build-up over time will add weight to the vehicle as well as 2. The build-up will also cause more areas to come off therefore leaving more exposed metal. I will forward another correspondence to Mr. Lindberg and request that someone contact you from that location.

Unfortunately, I have done all I can, so no further communication will be given from this office. On side note, I know this is your 3rd complaint regarding this store, so my suggestion would be to try another Ziebart franchise for your next annual inspection.
